Ferro Molybdenum

Ferromolybdenum is an alloy of iron and molybdenum that usually weighs between 55 and 75% by weight of molybdenum. The main application of this alloy is to supply molybdenum element in steel and increase its hardness. This alloy is widely used in the production of low-alloy and high-strength steel parts that can withstand heat at high temperatures. Molybdenum is a carbide alloying element. Therefore, ferromolybdenum is one of the ferroalloys for hardening alloy steels. It should be noted that the element molybdenum prevents corrosion of stainless steels and when mixed with iron, strengthens and increases the hardness of the austenite phase.
